This hotel was so cute - and came with the typical small Japanese style bathrooms that look like they forgot to install a real one. The hotel is very clean - looked brand new and the staff were very helpful of our non-Japanese speaking backgrounds. The location was a much further than we'd have liked from the airport - 90 mins on the train - however it was right round the corner from a temple and massive shopping mall/markets. Word of warning, there are very few English speaking locals in this area and even fewer places to eat with English menus - but the local food we did get was sensational. So just be prepared if you don't speak Japanese - our best best is a pen & paper and draw (eg. chickens and noddles with a bowl = chicken noodle soup) because as we soon realised, our hand actions and slow-talking wasn't a great communication tool!

Excellent location with lovely view of Senso-ji through our window. Reception staff had adequate grasp of English. Many dining options nearby even for children who are yearning for Western-style meals again. We had a quad room and had no trouble fitting our 2 adult-3 child family in.

Very friendly and helpful staff located right in the heart of Asakusa. They changed my room with no fuss when I was located next to an inconsiderate (western) so-an-so in the adjacent room who decided to talk (shout?) on his phone for two nights from 11-3 in the morning... The staff don't speak very much English (I do speak Japanese) and the rooms are evidently not that sound-proof. Some of the single rooms are larger than others - for example 709 is much larger than 701. Enjoy your stay.
