Located on the banks of the Yarra River, Clarion Suites Gateway is only a short stroll to Rialto Towers and Flinders Street Station, first city train station in Australia. Well known museums such as Immigration Museum and ANZ Banking Museum are less than a kilometre.

Clarion Suites has 122 well appointed studio and 1 and 2 bedroom suites with most of them offering view of the river. All suites feature flat screen TV, mini bar, kitchenette, ironing board and Internet access.

Great stay - good indoor pool and caters for families. Nice personal touch of cookies in the room and sofa bed all made up. Nothing was too much trouble.

Very clean spacious room. Yarra View room proved to be a little bit noisy, however, once bedroom door was shut as suggested this did quieten down the noise considerably. This was my second visit to Clarion Suites Gateway, and would consider staying here again, but will not request a Yarra View room again. First stay was so much more quieter.

Easy access to Melbourne Aquarium and Crown Casino. Room is spacious. Air conditioning seems a little problem during our first night of stay. However, it was fixed the next day. Free beer treat from the hotel which is very nice!

Got upgraded (again) with great views. also received home made shortbread (again) and service was as impeccable as ever. No complaints at all.

I , and a friend stayed one night. The room was smart , clean . The meal in Coleman's Restaurant was exceptional and the overall service outstanding. It was my second time at the hotel and I will be back again.

Nice location and well appointed rooms. Make sure you ask for a room that is away from the lift though !

We found the room clean and well laid out - thought, strangely, the handbasin and mirror are not in the bathroom but outside near the kitchen area. Were automatically upgraded to a river view room. Location was excellent - right on the Yarra and with the free city circle tram virtually outside the front door. Reception efficient and pleasant.
