Gold Coast Hotel Reviews
Mirage next to the Palazzo offers some nice restaurants, especially Vue. Plenty of activities and tours: we visited Tamborine Mountains, a nice drive, made a helicopter tour and rented a boat all in the same day.
I went there for the sandy beach and there was plenty for everyone! We also went on a tour to the hinterland which was very nice. Ask for discount on listed tour prices and you shall get (5-10%).
Excellent fun-filled few days, from fun adventure parks to surfing.
I prefer the tours to the outside mountainside and winery. I heard there are sea type tours but I did not take them. Good shopping in town and good selection of food and wine (though not very Australian)...
Always love surfers for its empty beaches!!!
The location was good, close to shops, restaurants and the beach.
Very lively resort 5 days was enough for us. If you go to the beach make sure you take a sun umbrella yourself.
With children we caught a bus to Seaworld every day. Also went to Infinity (new concept light spectacular-worth a visit) at the large shopping complex right in front of the hotel. Can buy food inexpensively at Coles also near there. An easy walk to the beach.
We spent most time at Shopping Centers. A Japanese restaurant at the hotel is not recommended. Staff attitude there is bad and the taste is not worth paying the high price.
In the middle of the Gold Coast region.
Surfers Paradise is quite commercialised but remains a pleasant destination for both families and couples. Easy access to the big theme parks such as Sea World etc. A car is useful but not essential as tours are readily available.
The hotel was very near from the city. Convinience.
Whilst in Brisbane we brought a Super Pass for Movieworld, Wet ''n'' Wild & Sea World which was excellent value for money, you get a free day at a park of your choice. Our hotel also arranged transfers.
Unless you like surfing or theme parks, there isn''t very much else to do.
We visited Dreamworld & Wet & Wild water theme park during our stay ***** stars for both..
Complimentary buses to different venues available.
The Gold Coast area is marvelous. There are too many good restaurants to name. A visit to this area should include the Sunshine Coast and the many art galleries in Malaney, just north of Brisbane.
