Great location and lovely hotel, however, not enough parking if you have a car. We arrived on a night when a graduation ball was held at this hotel and was told there was no parking available.

Great location at the Darwin Waterfront, a short walk to cafe's pubs and restaurants (Fiddle's Green Bar & Restaurant is great). And now to the hotel itself: if you have booked & paid for a waterfront view, make sure you get a room above the 1st floor which only has glimpses depending on the size of the trees outside! The reception staff were great but the female manager on duty couldn't care less if you had paid for a view, nor was she interested in any customer service! It seems the rooms with views are set aside for guests who book directly with Medina only! The room needed a good vacuum, and I'm sure the spiders on the ceiling corners enjoyed the view as much as we did :o) I'm afraid I will not be a repeat customer any time soon. P.S. If you really want to stay in this area you I suggest the Vibe which is located in the same building (shared reception & facilities). I have seen the Vibe rooms; same as Medina. So save yourself some money and book the Vibe!

Very clean and comfortable room. Staff very helpful at all times. Only issue was there was no Wi-Fi available in the rooms, only available in foyer area which wasn't very convenient.

We totally enjoyed our stay - location and views of the waterfront from our room were excellent. We had a good look around while in Darwin and our preferred choice of accommodation would be the Medina Grand again!!

Excellent Hotel, would definitely stay here again. As others have said, the 'Housekeeping' is a bit slack, but otherwise from booking in at 12.30 a.m; the Restaurant, and all facilities, A.1. We had a very relaxed and enjoyable week.

friendly staff, clean and tidy, nice location down by the waterfront and only a 5 mintue walk centre of town. good level of facilities within the room, was suprised to find an ipod soundock.

The location of the Medina Grand Darwin Waterfront is magnificent. The one bedroom apartment was extremely comfortable and the view from the balcony was very picturesque. The house-keeping staff however did detract from the Hotel's great position. Very often they did not replenish coffee, milk and sugar in the apartment and it had to be requested from them. Also dishwasher tablets were often not replenished. Although the towels and face washers were changed daily, the bathmat was not regularly changed. Also on finalising the account on the evening prior to our early departure, it was discovered that some services had been greatly overcharged. This was eventually rectified but it should not have had to be questioned if proper accounting practises had been in place. My partner and I were also disappointed that in a very comfortable and modern hotel, there was not a modern lounge bar in which to have pre-dinner drinks.
