Metropole Hotel Macau

Stayed with 4 adults & 2 kids for 2 nights in Metropole. Hotel is located nearby to Senado Square & just opposite to Solmar Restaurant. At the time of our stay, it has free shuttle service arrangements with Galaxy & Stars World Hotel. Also, near to the New Yaohan where you can find an inexpensive food court & supermarket. The hotel itself provides basic facilities and a very hard bed. Most of the staff are helpful and friendly. For those with Budget constraints, this is the good choice!

Although the exterior might look a bit washed out and old at first, the interior pleasantly surprises. The rooms were quite spacious and the beds comfortable, and the bathroom/toilet was modern and clean. Besides that, location was really convenient, with many shuttle buses in the vicinity (buses to ferry terminal are at Emperor Hotel which is a short walk away, buses to Galaxy stops right outside the hotel) Only gripe was internet could be made available to all rooms.

Great location but really, really hard-like-rock bed. and only 1 pillow for each bed. They provide 1 free extra pillow, if ask for more charge at MOP45. Oh yes! no free mineral water too, so as compare to other same range, same price, this budget hotel a bit stingy.

The hotel located in the central of the city. However, they don't have free transport goint to airport, and there is not easy to get a taxi from outside of hotel to airport. Hotel is quite old, you can smell the bad smoking outside the hotel room. Bed is hard.

Great Location which is just a min walk to the city centre. Accessable by walking distance from hotel to other city attractions too coz most of sightseeing places within walking distance which you do not necessary to take public vehicles.

Clean room. Aged but tolerable. Super hard bed solved by inserting two brown blankets under the sheets. Sheets and comforter are new, nice and clean. Airconditioning is up to standard. Has all the necessary essentials. Within expectations of a 3 star hotel. Hotel staff attitude and service were acceptable.

Very good location. Major attractions like St. Paul Ruins, St. Dominic's and Senado Square are about a five-minute walk only. The size of the room is just right; room is cozy and comfortable. Friendly and helpful staff despite some language gaps.

Very good location, very near to Senado square, the hotel staff is very helpful, nice hotel just that the bed a bit hard. Free shuttle bus available to Ferry terminal, make our trip convenient to Taipa & Hong Kong just that the bus driver is not friendly.

Initially, i thought we got a bad deal since when we called metropole they told us that standard rooms does not have internet only superior rooms. I told them that my confirmation voucher specifically states "standard room with free internet". I called up Hotel club representative in Manila-Trisha and she was the one who clarified everything to Metropole. We were upgraded to superior room with internet without any additional cost. Conveniently located in the heart of Macau within easy walking distance from various points of interest, restaurants & shopping centres. Good value for money.
