Hi, I was very happy with Patong Lodge hotel. This hotel could pass as a 5 star I'm sure. The only suggestion I would like to make is that it would have been handy to have a kettle in my room even if it was just a standard room. Other than that I think it is in a great location with an atm and 7-11 close by. Also hardly any children around when i was there, so that made it more enjoyable.

My bathroom was dirty and the A/C was useless. After complaining, housekeeping (Who I must say were very friendly) gave me an extra key to keep the A/C running even when I wasn't in the room, but did nothing to rectify the problems I had with my water being brown from time to time. My friends did not experience these problems in their rooms, however all commented how dated they were. Not a bad location, but only if you have a scooter! All tuk- tuk busses wanted 200 THB to go the 500m up the road to the restaurant/ market area! No beach access, and the pool closes at 7pm! Early! SUMMARY- You could do worse for $30 a night, but could most likely find better as well.
