I like the staff and love the breakfast. The Cellar restaurant is handy and has good food. The little bar on top of the hotel is relaxing and quiet. I have used this hotel three times and will do so again.

Located in a quiet location, staff were helpful. I felt very safe walking the streets. There are some very upmarket shops and eateries close by. I went through Expedia.

This was a mediocre hotel. The staff was very deceiving and told us that area businesses were closed so that we would use their services.

For the extremely low price you pay for this hotel, its quality should not come as a surprise. It is in central Cairo at a quiet place, the sheets and the bathroom are clean (the chairs, carpet and overall places less so), the food is sufficient, the staff is courteous, and main attractions are within walking distance. On the other hand, opening a window is literally impossible (and you'd think twice with the junk on the "balcony") and thus on top of the less than pristine conditions, the air becomes very stuffy. The archaic airco will make a minimal difference. From 2011 a new metro stop is planned nearby, so accessibility will be improved. All in all, as I was aware of what to expect for the price I was paying, I was not disappointed. In case you do not know what to expect, I quote my Egyptian friend: "A 3 star hotel means that cleanliness is optional".

Superficially, the room was clean. However, items such as curtains and sofa where dirty. I have no objections only to the bathroom. The location is relatively good because you cannot go by foot to major tourist attractions, but you can take a taxi for a good price 15LE. As for the service, I was given a twin bed instead of a double size bed and also pressed upon to rent a taxi for a whole day. Having a personal driver for 160 LE sounded very good, but the guy was rude with us. Only the price is good.

This hotel is really worth the money!! The rooms are big enough and the bathroom was very nice except the small shower. The hotel is a bit old and the room are not very clean. They have a nice restaurant and the area is really quite and safe. Nice breakfast and good service. For that price I expected a really worse hotel!!

I have been using the President Hotel for over thirty years. Whilst it is a bit downtrodden now, the staff are competent, the location excellent and it is a great value for money.

Situated in a quiet and pleasant area in Cairo, not far from the center, this hotel is very correct for its modest category, the staff are discreet and efficient, and the restaurant and pastry shop are a plus.

Rooms are big, balcony was great.. but rooms are very shabby atleast on the 14th floor, carpets run down and walls etc dirty.. pollution in Cairo in general is offcourse very bad, so that might be it.. good warm breakfast
