The Seoul Royal Hotel is situated 29 km from the Incheon International Airport and less than a kilometre from Seoul's City Centre. A 10-story stone pagoda, one of Korea's National Treasures, can be viewed at Tapgol Park within 1 km. Deoksugung Palace is within 1.2 km.

The Hotel is well-run and clean. But - the location is not good considering it is in the centre of Seoul - too far from the subway station - there are much better options for a similar price. The Spa is Men Only - in an international 4 star hotel that is just wierd - and the Spa is not inclcuded in the expensive room rate. Go elsewhere.

Although I stayed in the executive room, the room decoration is a bit old and very small. Carpet is quite dirty, thorough cleaning or replacement is definitely required. Having said that, the lcoation is superb, it is located in the heart of Myeong-dong. You may find shops and restuarants within a minute.

The hotel is situated in a perfect location for those who are shopaholic. I specially like the executive lounge, it is so relaxing equipt with internet, snacks and drinks. I just hope that the hotel staff monitor the guests who smoke in the supposed "non-smoking floors" such as the ones located in the executive floors.

This Hotel is highly recommended for first time traveller to Seoul. Very convenient as subway & Tourist Centre is within walking distance. The tourist office staff are very helpful and can speak English. MyeongDong is just outside and foods are easily available at very reasonable price. The hotel free shuttle bus has fixed timing & not suitable for anyone with early morning arrivel at the Seoul Int'l Airport. We have to take the paid airport bus for both ways instead. For a 4-star hotel, it is interesting to note that they charge tooth brush used daily and also charge for early check-in. The hotel staff could not find out booking in their record and refused to accept our booking form. We were asked to come back later until they are able to confirm the booking with the [website] office in seoul. We were disappointed at this arrangement.

Location is perfect if you are into shopping. I like the facilities specially in the executive lounge. I just wish that the selection of food for the buffet breakfast is improved. I also wish that the hotel's free shuttle service from Incheon Airport is available also for incoming morning flights.
