Sunshine Coast Travellers Tales
Hastings street is a wonderful street with shops, dining and the tourist office. The most visited national park is at your doorstep - Noosa National Park. The short circuit was perfect for the children. North of Noosa is a 60km stretch of beach which one can drive on with a 4-wd during low tide. It is well worth the drive. We ate at Bistro C, Ma Mensa (we ate there twice and they were very accommodating when we asked for a lunch item at dinner, Seasons to name a few.
Noosa is great especially the natural park. Take a moment to go to Eumundi (~20km away) for the outstanding market (wednesday, saturday).
A short visit only so not much to report. Drove from Gold Coast for family get together. Lunch at Cafe Mondo very good. Dinner at Montezumas quite good. Breakfast at Saltwater Cafe good.
Centrally located, walking distance to great restaurants.
Loved Amicis (Italian) and Trios (seafood/international) which were walking distance. Fantastic Emundi Market 45 mins away in car... REALLY worth visiting. All beaches nearby were very good and walking over Noosa Heads a must too.
If you do stay make sure you have a car to get out during the daytime and for meals in the evening. There are plenty of restaurants in Maroochydore at the Sunshine Plaza.

The Big Pineapple is worth visiting but avoid the Eumundi markets - very crowded but only selling rubbish. Also take a drive through Mapleton and Montville for some very different scenery.
Great beaches and a general feel that this is a very friendly area and people are proud of living and working in Noosa.
Lots of beach stuff to see and do. We especially enjoyed doing the river tour.
A car is useful but not essential in Noosa. A cruise or ferry trip is well worthwhile.
It is far from big town but we could use the hotel suttle car to local bus stop. It was not hard to take a local bus.
