Asia-hotels.com has information on more
than 1000 hotels in and around Asia on their website and will add/update
new and current hotel information weekly. They have recorded a monthly
average of 500,000 page views and 100,000 users which includes 30% from
Asia, 32% from North America and 28% from Europe.
When customers book their room through
the internet, asia-hotels.com will charge 10% commission and this makes
up for 95% of the profit for the company, the rest of the earnings comes
from advertising.
Asia-hotels.com recorded over US$5 million
turnover last year and is expected an increase this year. The company
recently became a member of the Hong Kong Association of Travel Agents.
In addition, the company has signed an agreement with Pacfusion.com
in Singapore that provides reservation services to asia-hotels.com therefore
mutually benefiting each other.
In August of last year, asia-hotels.com
had invested HK$10 million to improve it's technical system. Currently,
the company plans to pull in HK$35 million to further improve it's system.
