Friendly staff - airport flyer was really handy. The rooms were not up to scratch as far as cleanliness goes. There were alot of stains on the carpet and it felt dirty to walk on. The heater didnt work properly - when we turned it on it let off a burning smell, when I went to turn it off the powerpoint did not appear safe at all. It was loose and the switch was almost falling out. The bathroom facilities were really out dated - the shower basin was stainless steel, there was paint falling off the walls, the floor felt sticky and there were stains on the toilet seat. We stayed at this hotel 2 nights, one when we flew into NZ and again 10 days later when we flew out. When we returned there on our flight out we were assigned the exact same rooms as when we flew in and suspect that apart from new towels the room was as we left it - sheets were wrinkled when we pulled the blankets back and unique fold in the toilet roll was still there. Interesting though not that comforting.

the TV reception was very poor but since we were only there for a few hours before our flight left, the hotel was adequate for one night. Decor is a little tired but the room was comfortable and very quiet - no road or airport noise.

Good free transport from the airport , and quick checking in procedure. Very helpful staff, and offered a different/better room immediately. No air conditioning in the bedroom. Clean but poor decor and badly stained wash basin and tap surrounds - no sink plug. Very basic facilities - no hair dryer, tiny bar of soap, questionable container of shampoo(?). Food just about adequate, although some staff were inflexible and breakfast (included in price) was a 'full' English despite asking for a limited selection of items. Wi-fi had to be paid for and there was also a charge to use the reception facility although a morning paper was available. TV limited to 4 channels and reception very poor. Sky available in Bar area. There was also a gaming room (slots) Swimming pool available but not heated. Electric blankets on beds, but no heating in the bedroom although OK in the public areas
