BlueBay Grand Esmeralda Hotel Playa del Carmen

Overall the BBGE is a very well maintained resort. The people are all very friendly and willing to help with anything you ask. The food overall was excellent. The Al –a- Carte restaurants were all very good. I rated the ones we dined. 1. Mexican 2. Steakhouse 3. Oriental 4.Seafood and 5 Italian. We didn’t get to dine at the French restaurant. The pools were beautiful and well maintained. The bars were great and the drinks flowing. Yes I you tip you get better service and awesome drinks. David and Deliciouso (his nickname) at the pool bar was great. Hugo at the Sports bar was a jewel. The shows at night were hit and miss; some were great, others were so-so. The only thing I would have liked is to have a night with good music so we could dance. We were not aware that they would not allow the Tulum Express vans to come pick us up so we missed our excursion. The Spa’s Labyrinth sensations is an awesome water massage.

Bluebay is an excellent all-inclusive resort, with a good selection of different restaurants -French, Italian, Seafood, Mexican- as well as the usual buffet. Can't believe how much some people eat. We went for the jcuzzi suite, although I have to say the jacuzzi was rather small. Just about took the two of us. Good job we hadn't invited friends to stay!! I'd certainly recommend the Bluebay to anybody looking for a good all-inclusive in the Cancun area.

Food was excellent, service great - the only thing we didn't care about were the animals that were all over the grounds never been to a resort were they were everywhere and didn't feel comfortable with them
