Had a pleasant stay - one night only. The hotel is very close to the main drag which is great if you're in Aberdeen for being in the Centre (which we were). Our room was clean and comfortable, although a little tired decor wise - it was a bargain room though which we were after. Staff all v pleasant and helpful - would stay here again. Thank you :)

Only two points to make, firstly hotel needs to put protection on mattresses under the sheet and review the pillows on a regular basis as the two I had were thin bricks. I would of preferred to rest my weary head on softer pillows. Other than that everything else was okay.

I stayed in the carmelite last weekend friday thru sunday. upon check in i was given room 202. the room was spacious but badly dated. i enquired about an upgrade and for £10 extra i was moved to room 102 which was poles apart from the latter. the room is lovely but lacked mirrors. i know this sounds vein but the only mirror was in the bathroom and is set at an angle. the beds where comfy and the endless coffee idea is a lovely touch(no tea/coffee making in rooms but dial reception and they deliver free of charge - dont forget to tip). overall - if booking make sure you get a room in the renovated area of the hotel. the older rooms are tired but the new ones are fantastic. the staff couldn't have done enough for us. the breakfast was excellent and the coffee was great :) i didn't get any names on check out of the staff but the night porter, elaine (manager) and the duty manager guy where professional and make the Camelite my new home from home while in aberdeen.
