This stay was everything we could have wished for and more. A beautiful rainforest setting, removed from the main hubbub of Kuranda yet close enough to head into Kuranda for the day (about a 15 minute drive.) The meals were superb - Chris and Markus are accomplished chefs and served up beautiful meals, including a hearty continental breakfast including cheeses, cold cuts, pastries and home made jams. The owners here also help rehabilitate and release wallabies and it was with great delight that we got to know a few of the local wallabies. If you take the flying fox across the creek there is a beautiful rainforest walk that awaits you. The rooms were huge with updated bathrooms and all the facilities you could ask. This lodge is highly unique and oozes character and quirkiness - if you after genuine hospitality, great food, excellent value and a close encounter with nature, you could not go past it. Highly recommended - we are already planning our next trip!
