Location was great for what we wanted

Very nice Hotel. Excellent Location to downtown Auckland.

The hotel is in need of renovating. The room was a good size, quite large, bathroom very old, no power plug for hairdryer. Even though we had a room facing onto the beautiful harbour, it was not noisy as the hotel had double glazing. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much. We left behind a bottle of sparkling wine which she brought along to celebrate his birthday. We've asked staff to hold our bottle for us until we're able to pick it up on Wed evening of this week; hence, we'll know more about the quality of service when we pick up our wine!

...great location ...thought the hotel showed signs of being "tired" ...being given a room near the lift foyer, with the "noisiest" closing hotel lift doors ever, struggled to sleep ...could not recommend even at discounted price

Disapointing hotel, location is excellent with great views and walking distant to via duct, restaurants, ferries etc. Very worn rooms, first room stunk of smoke and the 'non-smoking' room wasn't much better. TV needs replacing too and furniture very old and used. Blood stains on the quilt, stains on carpets/walls and overall, very run down - you get what you pay for but definately not a four star rating. On our return trip to Auckland we stayed at another 'four star' hotel and there was absulutely no comparison in cleanliness and facilities. Would not go back in it's current state.

Older style but well maintained hotel in best position in Auckland for the price. Had difficulties with parking of a minivan due to "Company Policy" even though we had 3 rooms for our group, but after some time unsuccessfully trying to find a parking space elsewhere was allowed to park in the hotel car park for $24 per night. Staff were very helpful in allowing us to place items in the freezer which saved a major hassel and after a long trip was much appreciated. Overall, would stay again and recommend to friends.

Handy waterfront location with great view, excellent breakfast, and efficient check in/out. The rooms are a little tired and the maintenance man needs to check through the rooms for the little things. We turned the air-cond off at night as it is and old/noisy system. The bathroom has cotton buds but no toothbrush offered. The room was clean and bright. There is no included Internet service; usage is charged. TV channels are limited. If the price is right the hotel is fine as a handy place to return to in the evening and head off from in the morning with a full belly.

Always stay at the Copthorne when in Auckland. Very convenient position and the price suits our budget. Would have no hesitation in staying there again

The Copthorne Hotel Harbourcity is now slightly dated in its decor and facilities, but it makes up for this with its excellent location and good price.

The Copthorne is the hotel of choice for every one of the regular visits I make to Auckland. The view over the harbour is truly spectacular, the hotel is central to downtown shopping. Top marks to the staff who are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has an excellent chef who provides a wonderful choice of meals

Great service from staff. Hotel is long overdue for an upgrade and in my opinion is overpriced for the condition of the room we stayed in. Meals were very nice and waiting staff were excellent.

great location, just needs a tidy up

Room was cleaned but toiletries were not replaced, and when we asked the reception, they mentioned something about being green .. However, the staff were prompt and polite and we enjoyed our short stay.

A rather tired hotel could do with a revamp but clean and comfortable and close to everywhere we wanted to go.

We found the hotel rooms to be run down, shabby, and just not good enough. The aircon did not work, there was no mini bar perhaps not all that important, windows were dirty with celotape and signs stuck on them, holes in the beedroom wall. The restaurant however was quite nice but we just used it for breakfast. Reception were very good attending to us.

A very good place to stay. Excellent room with superb view (7th floor) Helpful and frinedly staff. Excellent breakfast.

Great situation handy to restaurants and city centre.Prices have gone up for rooms done up and are I think expensive
