Small but comfortable accommodation close to the walled city. Clean rooms with all we needed for a short stay. Difficult to find, as the villas are located down a side alley off the main street. We were unimpressed that nobody was there to meet us when we arrived, and a sign is left there informing you to ring the owners & wait 20mins. The front door is always open, which was a little concerning. Overall, we had a comfortable stay & would recommend for short visits to Split.

The original apartment looked little more than a boarding room with doors, wooden floors etc. Taken then to another place in the city that appears to have been a converted warehouse or storage area. The bathroom was up about four narow stairs as was the kitchen/dining 'area'. There were no curtains. During the early evening, the noise of the next door band was deafening to the point they may have become the first 'band' to be paid NOT to perform. The construction seemed block but the noise suggested tissue paper. If this is the best room that about £50 per night can buy, then Split is over-priced

the appt. we had was very good value, a bit dated but for the price it more than met our expectations. We arrived late and needed the room for only one night as we were going to Brac the next day, got a pick up by the owner from the airport for 200kn, the owner said this was about half the cost of a taxi but in the easy jet magazine it said you could prebook a taxi through them for 150kn. The dalmation villas are in a very good location for the pallace, the only real draw back is the noise, we could hear traffic noise late into the night and then from very very early there was a constant din from lorries and busses
