The hotel location is really good, can compete with those 5 stars hotel in Tian'anmen east main road but do expect smaller space of hotel room itself which is similar to HK, cleanliness quite good...just need to walk about 10 to 15 mins away from hotel to search for local famous delicious food..

The beds at Days Inn are very comfortable when compared to beds in China. The restaurant serves a great range of food, including both Western and Chinese dishes. Free in-room broadband and lobby wifi are an excellent facility, and enable independent research of tours and shopping. If I were to return to Beijing, I would definitely stay at Days Inn Forbidden City.

Should indicate budget room is under ground, I booked and didn't notice until I check-in. At the end, we have decided to upgrade to normal room, which we don't mind to pay a little extra. A very sad thing is room upgraded, but the room smell so sting with cigarette. However, housekeeper very helpful too clean over the room. Overall, good location with lot of walking distance places. Very helpful staff and cool services.

Check in was very smooth having booked this hotel online. Difficult for taxis to find it as it is tucked away. Location was great and we were able to walk many places from this hotel. Breakfast was included and was okay. There was a variety of food. The rooms were small but well appointed and quiet. Staff were friendly.

Great location for visiting Forbidden City and Teinemen Square, however be careful of pickpockets at Tienamen Flag Raising Ceremony. The staff at the desk are very helpful, hotel is spread out, so there are many corridors. No wifi in the room. Close to Wafuring restaurant area.

Very pleasant stay. Close to Wangfujing St, and metro, easy to find places to eat. Close to Forbidden City - walking distance. Easy bus ride to Tiananmen Square. UNfortuantely no WiFi in the rooms, but there was WiFi available in the lobby. Staff were courteous and helpful with passable English.

The Cons: I've booked 5 rooms 1 month before my arrival.About 1 week before I arrive, there was a change in flight plans and I emailed HotelClub and the hotel. One of the staff from the hotel(chris) confirmed that the rooms will be ready per my request. When I reached at mid night, the staff at the reception grumbled that there's still check in at such hours (they assumed we do not understand mandarin).I was then informed that the rooms are spread in different blocks and that they could not provide the beds requirements that we asked for.We had no other choice as it was the only 5 rooms left and we already made full payment before we came. They were very rude and treated us unprofessionally.Only when my friend created a scene that they offered us free breakfast and a change of room the next day.As if to punish me, I got an extremely small room at the end of the block. The Pros:Close to Tiananmen/ Forbidden City (5-7 mins walk) and WangFujing Street (5 mins walk).

Excellent location and value for money. Like most chinese hotels, check-in and check-out staff can be most discourteous and rude. All other staff at this hotel were excellent.

The hotel is averagely good but the trishaw operators at the corner of the hotel entrance is hopeless, we like the location of the hotel but those trishaw operators (Not belong to the hotel) are culprits & cheaters.

I had read reviews about the Hotel before going which said that peole had been put in the 'Basement'. I think they meant the Ground floor (or 1st for them). We had 5 nights in a room on the ground floor - it ws a bit dark as the rooms tend to face inwards and ours had a roof just outside our room. We were grateful for the room not being to light as we could sleep better. It was very quite and the room facilities were good enough for our needs. The room was without breakfast which made life a little difficult - the Charge for Breakfast was about £6 each which we did not want to pay each morning -would have been better as part of the package. It was a good brakfast however -we had it the first morning, it provided a wide choice and was good. The receptionaits were helpful and had a passable understanding of English. They helped us with tours and with buying train tickets - although the service charge for the train tickets was a bit steep.

Location is the big plus with this hotel - central to Beijing, with the Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square and the Wangfujing shopping area all within 5-10 mins walk. The rooms and helpful staff at receoption were excellent as well - so can find no fault. Did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food.

They gave me a downgraded room, since they did not have the room that I booked. My room was in the first floor and there were ants in the room. However, the location of the hotel is very close to everything. I enjoyed being there.
