Entering the lobby of the El Cielito Inn in Baguio we were pleased to see a neat, stylish entry and waiting area. The impression changed when we saw, and smelled, our two rooms. While comfortably sized for the price there were several problems; a mothball smell in the room, a lack of adequate hot water capacity (there is a friendly notice about the water heater system but it is misleading about the recovery capability). no hot water in her room in the morning, tiny ants on the sheets when we pulled back the covers. The table/desk was not useable as such becasue its design prevented anyone from sitting in the provided chair and putting their legs under the table; there was only about 1-2 inched clearance. My "service"rating reflects on the hotel service and staff who were quite nice and capable but the Voyager restaurant staff was friendly but appeared untrained in restaurant service. The food was very good. Hats off to the chef!!
