Empress Angkor Hotel Siem Reap Reviews

This was my first visit to Cambodia. The staff at the Empress Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap were extremely welcoming and made my visit a very good experience. A lovely hotel with a Cambodian-style decor with a sweeping staircase leading to guest rooms. I felt extremely comfortable at the Empress Angkor Hotel. Their evening shuttle service into town was good - particularly useful for those travelling alone. The advantage of staying in this hotel is that it is not in town. Good insomuch the tourist is not overwhelmed by other tourists strolling the busy city streets. Tut tuts are readily available outside the hotel. The driver and guide I used for visits to the temples were friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel for the traveller who likes comfort and privacy. I congratulate the manager and his staff on making my visit so enjoyable.

A beautiful hotel, with attentive & polite staff. Spacious, comfortable rooms with excellent wifi capability. Location is about 10 mins from central Siem Reap, quiet & peaceful. Hotel shuttle bus is available in the evenings, & there are excellent tuk-tuk waiting near the hotel entrance - especially Savot, tuk-tuk 3, he is a safe driver, obliging guide, very friendly & won't rip you off (& is much cheaper than the taxis). The large pool is fantastic, beautiful garden setting with a terrific cafe. The hotel also has 2 other dining areas. I spent 5 relaxing days at The Empress Angkor & thoroughly recommend it.
