I chose the Fragrance Hotel Selegie over the Ibis, which was similarly priced, for the option of being able to use the pool. Unfortunately I didn't end up using the pool and I was disappointed with the small room, small bed, small wet room, and spot-stained blanket. On the plus side the room was otherwise very clean, the hotel is only a few hundred metres from Little India MRT station and taxis are very easy to catch right out the front.

As in a previous stay, I noted, and was well aware of the smallnes of the romm, however it was value for money, and I only slept in the romm, once the lights are out one cannot tell how big the room is, The bed was comfortable after a busy day in Singapore and that was important. I will stay again when next in Singapore providing the cost does not go up

I was put in a room without a window. Totally unaccepable. I really thought I was in a death trap. Lifts took forever to arrive.

I think this hotel is a great choice for a budget-conscious traveller like myself who wants to spend a short time in Singapore. The rooms are very small, but they are clean and offer all you need. The staff are courteous and helpful and the hotel's main advantage is its brilliant location. It is really central and provided the perfect base for me to explore the city on my first trip.
