The hotel is only a short distance from the hotel and a taxi should only cost you about 10euros (negotiate first). Several cafes nearby. Food at hotel especially breakfast was very good. Reception quite helpful. Can also buy bus tickets from them to get to Knossos (only about 15 minutes away). Can walk to the town centre in about 10 to 15 minutes. Main bus station is about a 15 to 20 minute walk. Would stay there again.
