Enjoyed staying here. Very convenient even though it is away from the "old town" its an easy walk and there are good attractions and restaurants nearby. Nice shops too.

Great location for catching the water, light, music show at Big Wild Goose Pagoda grounds and an excellent show it is. Very nice hotel with very comfortable facilities and close to great restaurant area too. Easy to get to the Xian city wall and other attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed six days at the hotel, with our two young kids, and we found the Xi’an Garden Hotel clean and nicely decorated, with a beautiful garden. It is not located in the city center, but it is near many restaurants and places to eat. A taxi to the center does not cost much, while many attractions are not located in the city anyway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Some of them don’t have much English, but if needed they will get someone who does. The western breakfast gives you a wide choice, from cereals or toast to ham-and-egg. If you go see the terracotta army, it is best just to arrange transportation there and make use of one of the official guides at the museum, as they speak good English, know what they are talking about, and have the patience to explain details. Our experience with an external guide taking us there was not so good, as he was mostly interested in getting us buy expensive souvenirs from shops that apparently offered him a good commission.
