Gulhane Park Hotel Istanbul

close to tourist attraction. airconditioner does not work just blow air and in fact the rooms are hoter than outside so as the TV in the room which we have asked to be fixed but they ignored us which seems they ment not to work . good brakfast. poor unventilated Gym. Generally friendly staff except by one staff member with poor greating on arrival and departure.

The good points: Clean on arrival. Near all of the major sites in Istanbul. Decent facilities. Order food to your room when you want. The bad points: Rooms are not cleaned/serviced daily and bathroom items are not replaced. Always cutting corners to save money and charge extra. Overbooking is habitual when large groups arrive. The noise from the current construction works across the road can be disturbing. The breakfast is limited. If it was not for the overbooking factor and poor daily room service this would be an excellent hotel. Overall 7/10.

The location was excellent. We booked a private car through the hotel but were picked up by a shuttle bus. We got to our room and the shower head was broken. We only had 3 pillows between us. We told the desk. At 5.30 the next afternoon we returned to our room and the shower hadn't been fixed. The room hadn't been cleaned. The packs of cotton wool and shoe cleaner weren't there or were half used. The sheets weren't changed. No chairs in the room. After 3 days the covers were taken from our beds and not replaced. We never did get our other pillow. Breakfast was awful. If you wanted fresh orange juice it cost 5 lira. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night. It was terrible. After 20 minutes the waiter came back with a small plate wrapped in foil where he had been up the road to get it. It was served to us in the foil! For the airport we booked a private car through the hotel and yet again a shuttle bus turned up.

Located in middle of Sultan Ahmet Area.Very convenient to those who like markets.less than 10 minutes walking to Egyptian Bazar which is famous for all what visiters like to see.Manager of hotel,Mr.Soner is very cooperative,all staff speaks English and nice. Hot buffet breakfast is convenient.Rooms,bathrooms are clean.Back road of hotel is a travel agenct ,YUME ,has cheap shuttle bus to Ataturk & sabiha Airport.

most calculative hotel, advertised as having coffee and tea facilities, but provided tea bags only, ONLY on first day, I had paid for 6 nights because of this facilities advert. Watery, sugared orange juice provided at breakfast, the real one is separately sold at 5TL per small glass. hotel faces a parking lot for working vehicles, sometimes very noisy, do not believe the picture shown on internet. Breakfast on ground floor, NOT on top floor as advertised.

Centrally located. Very helpful staff. Worth every penny. I wıll defınıtely recommend thıs hotel
