The Hanoi Plaza offers unpretentious accommodation in the heart of the old quarter. In the days before Tet it's frantic in the street, but the Plaza is friendly and calm. The free breakfast is equal or better than the average budget hotel. My baguette was crisp and warm, the molette and bacon was tasty. The Internet PCs next to the meal have seen bette days but I was ble to do what I needed to do. There is "wireless" in the rooms, but I didn't try it. I would come back again.

The Hanoi Plaza should keep the rooms neat and clean. The restaurant on the ground floor at same level as the Reception draws a bad kitchen odour. The Hotel is difficult to access to public transport.

It should be a guesthouse rather than a hotel. It is indeed below my expectation. Though the location is good, the facilities and service are really bad. We booked a triple room which is on the 7th floor, but the lift only reaches 6/F, i.e. we have to take staircase, which was stuck by bedsheets, towels..... The room itself is bad too. Disappointed!
