Very old hotel, lots of character but poor facilities and in terms of its position has graet views. Maybe a good place to visit for lunch but not to stay at

This hotel is very charming and has some nice views of the bay.
There needs to be some renovation as a heavy rain storm revealed a leak in the lounge roof.
Safes have been installed in the room but they do not work, so valuables had to be lodged at the desk. They very quaintly wrapped them in newspapers marked with the room number and date. Not the most secure - but it was locked away and we had no problems retrieving our belongings.
However, the staff were very friendly and helpful and I can vouch for the quality of the local food presented as being very high.
