Guest comments	I have stayed at this hotel twice - once in winter and once in mid-summer. On both occasions I fell in love with the hotel. It's located a short five-minute walk from the V&A waterfront complex, a popular (and pleasant) shopping and dining hub in Capetown. There are hotels in the heart of the V&A area which are more expensive. Why pay for these locations when this hotel offers everything at a better price and is no further away from the action. The hotel lobby bar has a cosy fireplace during Winter and a wonderful outdoor dining area for wnjoying drinks or breakfast in Summer. The staff are magnificant and are the best I've encountered in South Africa. They are professional and genuinely warm in their approach to customer service. My first stay saw me upgraded to a view with impressive views of the city's famous Table Mountain landmark.

Guest comments	Excellent location for Waterfront which suited me. Internet connection worked fine from room although you need to make sure you logout each time. Facilities are not 5 star but are fine. Staff very helpful. A bit expensive for the quality of room, but you are paying for proximity to Waterfront. Has character as an 'ex prison' building. Would certainly consider staying again if in Capetown.
