really great views of mountains and lake from the room. I think all the rooms have a view of the mountain and lake. The bathroom has floor heating and the room is quite large and the bedding is luxurious. No free internet access though.

Excellent bueatiful views , wonderful apartment with great facilities bit of a way out of town so need a car but the views and quietness more than made up for it.

My view on the Oaks Shores is better than my selected criteria lets on. I have rated Cleanliness - Average on the basis that the room was spotless when we arrived, however we stayed 6 nights and the sheets were never changed, the bed was just roughly made. Nor was the bathroom cleaned, only the towels were folded and bin emptied. Hence also the Average rating for Service. We did not use any other hotel facilities, although the rooms were far too hot as a result of the centrally controlled under floor heating and we had to sleep with the balcony door wide open.
On a positive note the 'Hotel Room' was really big and we had a view of the lake and mountains which was great for what we paid. Location is brilliant, out of town but you don't need a car. It's a beautiful walk into town by the lake whatever the weather and a cheap taxi back on an evening (approx. 12NZD).
I would definitely stay at the Oaks again if the room rates at the time are as reasonable.
