General At Reef Palms Apartments Cairns, business travellers are well catered with the focus on productivity, offering you business essentials without losing the relaxed feel of the tropics. All guests of the Reef Palms can enjoy our large attractively landscaped pool, with its crystal clear waterfall, spa and children's wading pool. Adjacent to the pool is the gas barbecue facilities and change room with shower for the use guests and friends.
We stayed in a spa apartment which is on the second floor. There isn't a lift so you have to carry your luggage up 2 flights of stairs. The building is an older complex and our bathroom door panel was swolen and water damaged, and there were a few cracked tiles as well. The rooms are serviced daily. When we reported a blown bulb it was quickly replaced.You insert your key in a socket to put the power on, so when you come back from being away all day , you have to wait until the air conditioner cools the apartment. It is about a 5-6 minute drive from the city centre which could be a problem if you are walking on a hot day.There is an IGA supermarket about a 10 minute walk away.The staff were friendly and helpful. One other thing to be aware of, you need to ask for a toaster as there is an $800 call out fee for the fire brigade, if you activate the smoke alarm! The building is under the flight path but as there aren't too many flights is wasn't a huge issue.The wifi access worked well.

Very simple, very clean, very comfortable and extremely friendly and helpful staff. It's a little off the beaten path but there's a grocery only a short walk away and you can order in from a large range of local places if you're not in the mood to go out and about. The on-site guest laundry is very handy, too. And the WiFi even worked like a dream. I will definitely come back.
