I went to Cairns during probably the warmest period and perhaps the most humid period as well. It would be great if the hotel could provide something like a golf motor-cart or at least a bicycle for hire so that the hotel guess would not have to suffer a rather difficult time walking just to the beach or just to do a little shopping along the beach.
