Great hotel in located in the middle of the business district (view of the Petronas Towers, LRT station across the street); facilities meet five star standard though being partially a little old (rooms are to be remodeled soon though); would stay there again for the unbeatable price!

Excellent location for shopping, Menara and Petronas Towers. Great buffet breakfast, with a huge selection of food and friendly staff. Would have liked more tourist information about the city, maps etc.

My wife and I spent 5 nights at the KL Istana hotel. We could not have chosen a better location in the heart of the city. The hotel reception and lobby is slendid and hotel staff were just great. Our room was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed an evening buffet and our included breakfast daily at the brasserie. Excellent food, service and presentation. If you don't mind a walk, the KL tower and the Petronas Twin Towers / KLCC park are all within walking distance. The excellent Pavillion shopping centre is about a 500 m walk. There is also a hotel shuttle service, a monorail station across the road, and taxis are readily available at the hotel. We can highly recommend the Istana and would definitely stay there again. Least expensive transport from KL international is the KLIA express train to KL Sentral station and then a taxi to the hotel.

We were surprised how good it was and had no complaints at all.Would stay there again. The wine was expensive!

Excellent Customer Service , Warmth Welcome and very friendly.

V convenient spot for shopping. Rooms are big and bright and service and response very prompt. Had to call for help to open the safe and the staff was at my door within 5 min. Same when I had a small problem with the kettle. Helpful and smiley frontline staff. Happy++

They allowed us to check in early at 11.30 am and the room was fabulous. Overslept, nearly missed breakfast but the waiters and waitresses kindly helped us gather pastries and yoghurts and served us all the while they were trying to clean up for lunch. Another couple was later than us. They were still served. Definitely the best service one could ask for! Thanks a million!

The receptionist gave me a free upgrade to clubroom when my deluxe room was not yet ready upon my arrival at 2 pm. The hotel service was very warming and the room was clean, comfortable and the breakfast was fabulous!

Had a wonderful stay here. We decided to upgrade to club level for $A53 a night which gave us full breakfast, afternoon tes (which we didn't need) and a coctail in the club lounge. This turned out to be 2 hrs of all the drink you could drink plus wonderful food (no need to go out and eat) and fantastic staff. Well worth it

We booked at Istana because of the location and also because there was a 25% discount offer. It proved to be a great choice, ideal location, quiet, wonderful food at the hotel restaurant. We had asked to check in early and because the hotel was very full, they upgraded us to a club room, a suite, and we gained entry on arrival at 7.15 in the morning. The personal service we received was the highest ever.

Great Hotel and good location. The staff and roamng Ambassadors are just fantastic. Well equipped Gym. will stay again when and if in KL.

I have visited KL many times & stayed in different hotels but this time i was with family & just have one word "phenomenal" the staff the facilities the location cleanliness everything excellent would recommend it to every friend very very happy with my stay there even my kids loved it

We stayed at the Istana many years ago when it was very new. At that time we informed anyone who was interested that we gave it 7 stars! Now it is one hotel of many in the Golden Triangle; however the staff are exceptional and still fully deserve our very own 7 star rating.

An excellent hotel and good value. The staff were all excellent, friendly and efficent. The food was of an excellent standard, particularly in the Urban restaurant ( slightly hidden away ). The lounge bar area had entertainment every night and the waitresses always welcomed us with a smile. Any problems were sorted out quickly and efficently. We would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting KL.

Great hotel and close to Bintang Walk shopping streets. Great dinner buffer - 2 for the price of 1 when we were at the hotel. AUD$ reached RM3.21. It cost me only AUD$350 for 5 nights stay at the hotel. Excellent timing for AUD$ to reach record highs for my holidays. Hotel is great for family and food stalls at the back of the hotel.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a 'club room' for wedding anniversary, staff very friendly and helpful, hotel in a wonderful location in centre of KL, close to everything. Only negative, staff in the Spa ignored emails sent before arrival to pre book a special treat and were not very friendly or helpful when we tried to book on arrival. (They pulled the old 'not understand English so well') In the end we decided not to bother with them and instead found very good Spa treatments offered outside the hotel at much better prices !!!

very good location, vibrant, luxurious and excellent food. A few items in the room were dated and old but on the whole a very good experience.

Everything is up to my expectation. I will stay again if offer price is reasonable.
