The Old Woolstore Apartment Hotel Hobart Reviews

The staff at reception were absolutely EXCELLENT! Very helpful, very friendly, approachable (not like most other hotels/apartments). The room was clean everywhere - bathroom, room, laundry, kitchen, lounge area. Only thing I could fault, was room service food could be better quality an quantity (I ordered the cheese platter and hot chips as snacks). Massive TVs with loads of channels was great. Was very impressed overall, really enjoyed my stay there. Thumbs up to them! :)

Great location 10 mins away from Salamanca Place. Stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment, it was spacious, clean and the kitchen was well equipped. It was definitely value for money.

Check in and out was very seamless and friendly. Accommodation was very good. If you are there for a lengthy stay you have washing machine and dryer in the apartment. Good kitchen if you get sick of restaurant food. A number of restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Tops. Restaurant staff need to be a bit more customer focused. Not all but some. Overall very good.

Lovely clean hotel. Good location a block back from waterfront and a lovely 10min stroll to Salamanca Place. Restaurant nice for dinner, breakfast ok but really should consider providing Tassie produce eg. Jams, yoghurt etc. Couple of blocks into town, but once again pleasant walk.

A great experience - I'd recommend it! Good location, walking distance to Salamanca Place and the restaurants at the wharf. The room was great. Spacious, clean and all you need.

This is a good clean hotel and very roomy, represents good value.

Pleasant hotel with a good location. We stayed at the weekend when there were several events in the function rooms. This made it quite noisy until about 11pm but other than that everything was fine. The gym was only just OK with very limited machines in a small room.

the hotel room was a little bit cramped. I think studio might be better. I liked the history behind the old woolstore and the proximity to the taste festival held nearby.

That was 2nd time we have stayed there and loved it both times pay a little extra and you get better service

Very convenient location-close to the action on the waterfront and Salamanca Place. Easy to get to. Parking very secure. Friendly staff.

Rack rates seem rather high in comparison with other similarly rated hotels, though lower than the nearby Arthouse Hotel, perhaps the most comparable. A very interesting re-utilization of an old industrial building, but facilities are all ultra-modern and rooms and amenities are clean and comfortable. Has a gymnasium, pool, restaurant etc. and conference facilities that I have heard are very good. Within easy walking distance of the centre of the city, the Theatre Royal, the Royal Hobart Hospital, the Museum and Art Gallery, and Salamanca Place, and particularly Hobart's famous waterfront. I would not hesitate to stay at the Old Woostore again, but would be looking for a promotion or other offer to make it competitive with some of the equally-good competition in the vicinity.

very friendly helpful staff, good parking, wlaking distance to shops and harbour. nice buffet breaky.

Very quiet. Centrally located within easy distance of theatre and waterfront as well as city centre. Basic gym and pool is a 5 plus minute walk away. Would stay again.

Very nice, upgraded us .Location perfect.We didn't eat in the hotel so can't comment but I would have been happy to have stayed there for longer if we had had time

Beautiful big room with oodles of room for all our shopping. Would recommend this hotel.
