we used the ferries and public transport and would recommend them for seeing Sydney and its surrounding area. The ''Bridge climb'' is a must although at $A160 it is quite expensive.

To go to the opera house, the harbour bridge, to go to Katoomba near the blue mountains to have a great meal. To have a walk in downtown near the AMP tower.

Sydney is Supreme. Very safe city for the most part. I only felt vulnerable in the area in and around Chinatown. Please note that the Airport Express route has changed and is different from the brochures given out around the city. If you go by the brochure, you''ll be waiting for a bus that will never arrive. Take the train to the airport.

The hotel has its own resteraunt which is quite good, but there are countless cafes and resteraunts all around darling harbor. As well as the aquarium, imax theatre, shops, monorail.... and the list goes on...

Location of the hotel was great, very close to Darling Harbour and to all central streets of Sydney. Very close to good restaurantes and to George street, the main central street of Sydney.

Close to transport and interesting areas of the city. Near a great Thai food place called Orange Thai (I think).

Bus stop just next to hotel and hotel give you useful map showing bus routes etc. Nice restaurants and bars near hotel, and is right next to Kings X train station too. Area right next to station is a bit dodgy, but seemed safe enough.

Can walk to The Rocks, and the Harbourfront is right there, with several convenient restaurants. Great views of the city, especially at night.

Public transportation is great and also used it to the airport. Check out an unlimited ride pass.

Sydney was better than I had hoped for. Hotel was excellently located for the Sydney Explorer buses (a definite must-buy, takes you to Bondi Beach etc.) Also, went on a trip to Hunter Valley recommended by the hotel and the minibus picked us up at the hotel - excellent. Bourbon & Beefsteak is the place to eat - although HUGE portions.

I was not a sight seer - a delegate at a conference so my needs were not to see the sights. However great location for eating and shopping. Walking distance to city shops, the Rocks and Darling Harbour.

king''s cross is too far from where everything is happening! the best place to stay is around the CBD. besides, king''s cross has lost its charm, i think. too many sleazy bars!!

Nice location, the city is clean, easy to find the interesting spots, friendly people everywhere. Trips to Manly, Blue Mountains, royal national park a.s.o. are easy to plan, hire a car or use train (if possible). Taxi''s, monorail, trams, buses & trains will take you fast & easy to all the places tou want.

Traveled on our own. Walked around Sidney mostly. Got bus, ferry pass one day. Took one day tour to Blue Mountains.

Good for those who are intending to visit places like Sydney Aquarium & Darling Harbour but not quite for businessmen who are working downtown unless the front desk staff appears to be a little more helpful.

Manly is beautiful with a gorgeous beach at the end of the main shopping street. Shelly beach further round is a quieter place to relax and enjoy a dip in the clear blue water.

Ideal destination. So much to see and do. Being located on the harbour (King St. Warf) it was wonderful to walk around the harbourside shops and restaurants at all times of the day and night. Lots of good restaurants all around Sydney but good ones were 3 Thai Turtles in Oxford St, Sel et Poivre, Hugos Bar, Zafraan (Indian) expensive but worth it and Zenbu - gives you a free massage to promote well-being. Walked to the Circular Quay where we could get the ferry to Manly, and other locations. Mostly walked around town. Hired a car (No Birds in William St.) to go to the Blue Mountains and along the coast. Worth it.
