Melaka (Malacca) Hotel Reviews
The location is another plus point given that it is just across the road from the reasonably huge shopping centre and nearby food street. There are a food court and several restaurant in the Shopping centre which are not expensive. But the food are just so-so which I have no comment.
Melaka is a good place to relax for a weekend or short trip. One can very easily explore it on foot. The attractions are not really great. But there is a great collection of antiques in Jalan Hang Jebat, which are good to see but very expensive.
What I can say the hotel located at very strategic position for food, shopping, medical Centre, clubbing and a lots more.
Used own car. Used town maps Not our first visit to Melaka. Always enjoy Melaka and the friendly local people. Visited local and historical places of interest. Malaysia and Melaka in particular, is good value for money.
Good location where we can visit Shopping Center, food places and tourist spots just by foot ! This can be relax and easy going without involving too much travelling.
The restaurant closed very early time. The salada of room service was not good.
This was a re-visit to the Melaka area. Nice clean city with lots of attractions.
Malacca is a nice place to visit and the hotel is situated nearby the historical places where it can make you feel easy to go. From KL, it tooks me 1.45 hours driving to Ayer Keroh exchange and you can be loss as there are many signage around you. I''m very enjoy with the riding boat, horse and cow and I promoised to myself that I''ll coming back next trip.
good destination to bring for the whole family especially children. Recommended restaraunt is medan ikan bakar pernu. good for first timers. we went to a famosa safari park......not a cheap place to go, thumbs down on the food there. The animals shows were good. however still not comparable to those in singapore or other developed countries. $ maybe.
We did the DIY type of tour, either walking for taking the town bus.
Did a lot of eating and walking around as it''s easier to walk than looking for parking spaces. Going from one place to another is not a problem. Should try the "satay celup" if you''re in Malacca.
Good location for some local history. Fantastic choice of food. Eat small so that you can eat more variety.
A blend of old city charm and quite wild night life in local clubs. Good for one day stopover.
For those who are driving to the hotel, do not be shy to ask the locals for directions. They are friendly as long you respects them. From the hotels, you may ask the staffs for directions of whatever you may want to go.
We walked around the town area, the local people are very friendly. Wear a hat, put on your sunglasses or use sunblock, the sun was scorching although it was windy, brilliant weather in December!

The shops and restaurants in the old Peranakan houses are such beauties, the ambience is just lovely to soak in. Sitting in one of those old houses in the airwell area, eating a chendol after walking around for hours, is pure bliss. I am definitely going back to Malacca in the near future as we didn''t quite cover what we wanted to see, because there is just so many interesting sights and sounds for those interested in history and art.
pretty laid back town with lot of history...
Small town, with few attractions, but good enough for a 2-3 days stay.
Malacca is reputed for its affordable sea=food.
Try the chicken rice / rice ball at the corner of Jln Bendahara and Jln Munshi Abdullah.
