Shalimar Park Hotel Dubai Reviews

The Shalimar Park is a great budget hotel- don't expect luxury, but do expect a decent hotel with friendly staff and an aquarium in the reception. The electric appliances sometimes don't work. The location, in Al-Murar, one of the old neighbourhoods now busy with Indians and East Africans, local cafes and tailoring businesses, is only a block from the Corniche and a kilometre walk from the Metro at Union. You met get woken up early by the call to prayer at the adjacent Sheikha Latifa mosque, but this is the real Dubai!

This is the one hotel everybody has bagged, it was clean, close to city centre of Deira, for one star was exceptional. The only downside was across the room from my window was a mousk, drawing the curtains at certain times of the day helped to reduce the noise level. Would stay here again
