Very enjoyable, would recommend. Close to Salamanca and many ecellent restaurants.

Great place to stay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit (2 couples) the only problem was there is not a lot of ventilation in the main bedroom. The two single beds are in an open loft area, ideal for children but not so good for 2 couples. Great view and location.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were always friendly and helpful and the room had everything we needed. We ordered room service from the restaurant (Tavern 42 degrees) downstairs and the food was great. The location is central to everything, but it means that the hotel has limited parking. On one occasion we had to find street parking for our hire car. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definately consider staying again.

Was very happy with this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. So close to everything. It's a split level room; living area down stairs, bed up stairs which was different (tv in both). Great view of the harbour and surrounds. Our room had a washing machine and dryer which we found handy as this stay was only part of our trip. Will definitely be staying here on return to Tassie.

Excellent location & great room although a bit noisy at night time as we were directly above the T42 restaurant. Definitely will stay there again but perhaps in another room.

Fantastic position, walk to everywhere,restaurants, day tour pickup, day cruisers, information centre, Salamanca Place. I could not fault this hotel, the views were brilliant. Beautiful room, great shower, good heating and air conditioning and the most comfortable bed.

Perfect location to explore Hobart.

Front of house very helpful and friendly. Housekeeping - sheets only changed after 5 nights, floor only vaccumed once after we had been there 5 nights.

I've stayed many times down in Hobart but never before at Somerset. I just loved it. The room was spacious with a loft bedroom and everything overlooked the warf and boats. Parking was easy and I had no problems and everything was in walking distance. The room was so nice that one night I stayed in with take away just to enjoy the views. They came and cleaned the suite every day and I had a microwave and cook top. I'd definately stay here again and the only issue I had was no wi fi access for my lap top. But Tassie seemed to have wifi problems everywhere even in coffee shops.

This was a fantastic place to stay! It smelled like new carpet, it was really clean and the service was always friendly! We had a fantastic view of the harbour in a 2 bed Premier apt and we were just a short walk away from Salamanca Road! I would LOVE to stay here again for sure!!! FABULOUS!

The steep stairs in each room are a problem - especially for night visits to the bathroom. A bit noisy - room echo's noise and also corridor noise is very noticable. Rooms well furnished, view wonderful, location fantastic.

Excellent position and friendly staff. Great proximity to the CBD and restaurants. However i found the top loft bedroom quite stuffy with no fresh air or windows. It is fine if you are able to sleep with the door open but if you need privacy ie with the other bedroom being used, you have no option but close the door. I was also disappointed to be placed in a room without a balcony.

Great location! Staff very helpful. Only letdown was housekeeping - bathroom floor wasn't cleaned, with hair and stains still evident. If housekeeping can stay at a high level, I'll certainly recommend this hotel to friends.
