Everything I expected the hotel and its staff to be - very well presented, very helpful and professional staff, good choice of bars and food options in the hotel, but best of all the proximity to a vast range of eating options in a couple of minutes walking distance. I'll be back.

Great Hotel in a Great Location

As a frequent traveller, I often find hotel experiences fall way below my expectations but this was not so for the Stamford Grand at Glenelg! Here, I was delightfully surprised! The staff person graciously responded to my complaint that I wasn't given a smoking room (as I had requested) and quickly organised a better room for the same price. Staff also brought an extra robe on request plus extra milk. On top of that, the hotel is located at the end of the tram which gives great access to lots of shops and activities! Definitely a repeat hotel!!!

I have stayed at the Stamford Grand Hotels in both Adelaide and Glenelg. I certainly prefer the Glenelg hotel, due to it's niche location, our view of the city was superb. The room was clean, bathroom passed muster. I was a little concerned as another reviewer stated that they were outdated. OK they are not state of the art, however they are maybe a few years old. Super fussy reviewer? The cocktail bar is lovely and the staff are friendly and attentive. Best of all you can step out and take a stroll along the jetty or duck down Jetty road for a spot of shopping, hop on a tram to the centre of Adelaide and come back to the quieter locality in Glenelg .

Excellent location right on the beach at Glenelg. Heaps of restaurants close by. Valet Parking as with most Hotels is a little expensive

The stamford is a truly great hotel.Our helpfull concierge (Jerrod I believe his name was) truly showed what masters of customer service the professional concierge is.Thanks for wonderfull memories!

Have stayed there before, will stay there again. GREAT location. Service is always really good, rooms are nice, without being ultra modern.

Lovely traditional style hotel. We chose a seaview room, which I think was about £20 per night more expensive, but it was woorth it, the view was spectacular. Glenelg is a lovely town and the hotel is perfectly situated, fronting the beach and close to all facilities. Hotel has its own pool on the 2nd floor, there were no staff on duty when we visited the pool and unfortunately some of the children were very high spirited which rather spoilt it for everyone else - consequently we didn't go back to the pool area. We enjoyed a very nice evening meal in the restaurant. No hesitation in recommending this hotel.

Housekeeping is a bit lax and the rooms are looking a bit tired. But it is still a great place in a great location.

Wonderful location and hotel just lovely. Bathrooms need updating..quite enjoyed our stay.

As usual we enjoyed this stay mainly due to the staff we know in the Gaming Room and how we are treated generally by other staff, eg Horizens Bar. We gave good patronage with 10 booked in for Christmas Lunch in the Colley Room, @ Dinners in the Promenade plus Breakfasts. Booked my daughter in through Satmford but way more expensive than with Hotel Club booking early.

Car parking is not on site at nrearby car park, could be a problem with lots of luggage however there are porters. Great swimming pool, spacious room. Loved that I could chose a bath or shower. Would stay again, but perhaps in seas view oom to avoid other noise from the street.

Whilst the rooms are spacious there is some noise if you have a room to the front or side of the hotel. The beds were excellent. Christmas day menu evening limited only seafood buffet, breakfast buffet $61 per person hope this is just Christmas Day rate. Locatio great for the beach and shops.

One of the nicest places to stay in Adelaide , right on the beach at Glenelg and heaps of restaurants to choose from.

Great spot on the beach at Glenelg. Only thing $22 for parking which is 25 metres away !!!

Most enjoyable stay, although next time I would get a room with a view of the ocean rather than looking out over tops of buildings and laneways!

The hotel room was great. It was clean and had a fantastic view of the beach. The only complaint would be the loud noise at 4.00am in the corridor of people returning to their room after partying!!

The pull out lever to switch from water to bath to water to shower did not work, nor did the hot water to sink ever arrive. find it hard to believe a maintenance item like this was not known to the hotel when I checked in.

Disappointing that booking was lost and had to wait for 25mins while they tried to find it. A complimentary room upgrade to Ocean View was appreciated greatly! A gorgeous view!!!
