Hated it here. VERY shabby, smelly & dated. Our triple room was the same size as a single room! Rooms were NOT as roomy as they appear in the photos. Hotel staff making to much noise early in the mornings. Hotel staff creepy how they lerk in the passageways. Only ate breakfast there once, as the food was horrid and not enough choice. Only thing going for this hotel is its location. I would RECCOMEND staying across the road at the Ibis. Much newer & the same price

Found the hotel staff to be very helpful and courteous esp that young man who provided me with 2 panadol tablets when I had a spltting headache in the middle of the nite (I cam to see him at 3.30 am), the lady (fr China) who did such a good cleaning job, the room is extremely clean, great location near plenty of food stalls, would I stay there again? A very definite "Yes." Would I recommend it? Yes!

Very centrally located for shoppers and food lovers alike. Bugis Mrt is just 5mins wlak from the hotel.

The major plus point of this hotel is its location. It's situated near the Burgis Market and Sin Lim, to cite a few. It's also near strategic bus stops and a few blocks from the MRT station. The rate is reasonable and the free breakfast is a comer.

Good location, room size OK, price fair for Singapore.

3 night stay was OK. Breakfast quality : medium. Room was clean, bathroom a bit dated. Situated on Bencoolen, the location is nice in the center. Metro travel to airport is very long and with several line changes : take a taxi! Internetcards were very expensive. Therefor, don't forget to get your usr & pwd for free SG internet at the airport! Otherwise you'll need an SG mobile number.

We were looking for a reasonably priced hotel in the center of Singapore and had relatively low expectations about the rooms and service. At the Summer View Hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to find great service at the front desk, clean, comfortable rooms with great beds, and a nice breakfast buffet included in the initial price. It's not luxurious, but we found all the facilities more than adequate for our needs. We will certainly stay here again on a future trip to Singapore.

service is good, accomodating staff always, good location for business needs/city living. . . but internet rates are too high, but there's a nearby computer shop, just walking distance, if you're in need of net access. . . menu for buffet breakfast is always egg & sausage & alternating rice & pancit, if you're staying in this hotel for more than 3days, not good to eat again for the breakfast on the nth day...if you're staying to sleep only in this hotel, not advisable, tourists are usually not in the hotel the whole day, too costly if you just need a sleeping area in singapore. there's other budget hotel which has good service also, try searching in xxxxxxx.

Very comfortable stay in a superbly located hotel. All staff very welcoming and friendly. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

very friendly staff at check in counter. But there is no toilet amneties like toothbrush, soaps, toothpaste. The location is very accesible to bus station. Just take a bus 65 to go to orchard. and waliking distance to buguis village where there are also some stalls.

Despite it being overshadowed somewhat by the bigger and newer Ibis hotel opposite, Summer View Hotel is good value for money and can pride itself on providing good and friendly service. Its room may be a tad on the small side and a little worn, but certainly comfortable enough for 1-2 nights stay. But its location compensates for all the shortcomings - walking distance to Bugis mrt and a bus stop directly opposite the hotel where you can catch bus 65 to go to Somerset station and to Orchard road, just for Sgd$1.00!

While staff were generally polite, the operator did not put calls to room even though we were in the rom. The room was extremely small.
