Thistle Hotel London Heathrow Reviews

This is a nice hotel, but it is difficult to find in the dark - and I have lived in W London all my life!. They need proper signage from the Bath Road, otherwise people end up on the Colnbrook By Pass. This hotel also has a restaurant with a fantastic view facing onto the run way at Heathrow - interesting ever moving picture of planes arriving and leaving. Would stay here again. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was extra but good food.

Perfect for a stop over near Heathrow Airport.Nice breakfast , discount for children is a plus.

The Thistle is ideal as a transit hotel close to Heathrow. The location was a bit difficult to find as the side road off Bath Road had no signage for the hotel. There was no fridge in the room (which is dreadful!) The facilities seemed to be miles from our room and we must have walked that hundred yard corridor at least eight times during our one-day stay. The staff, on the other hand were courteous and extremely helpful, and room service rates were reasonable. The ultimate revue for any hotel is 'would I stay there again?' Hmmmmm....

Having stayed at this hotel due to events being held at their conferencing centre many times before I was expecting a nice stay this time. However on check in the staff on the check in desk seemed unsure of how to deal with the prepaid voucher and unwilling to communicate with us regarding checkout hours and amenities. The room was very small and apparently mid redecoration because part of the wall was a painted a different colour over a piece of wood that had covered a hole where a air conditioner had been replaced with a smaller one. Also service in the Best Sellers Bar was terrible. When we ordered food they brought out the plates separately with a five minute wait before the second plate of food was brought out and by the time the food reached us they were lukewarm and unappetising.
