We spent a very enjoyable week at the Bodhi Serene Chiang Mai in September 2008. The room, cleanliness, service, buffet breakfast, staff, pool were all of a superior standard. The location was quiet but very central to everything. The internet was free. We cannot think of anything negative so say about it. It was less than 2 years old at this stage.

This hotel is just gorgeous, the rooms are big, the bathroom was lovely too, with big circular bath and massive shower. The staff are friendly and the location is superb, hard to believe you are in the middle of the city. Great place, highly recommened

Beautiful boutique hotel which is just 5 months old. Walking distance to Sunday Market. Night Bazaar, Anusarn Market and Warorot Market is about 15-20 minutes walk. Free internet WIFI is available.

This is a new hotel in Chiang Mai, in the historic section of the city, and is in a soft opening mode late 2007 and early 2008. But it is a gem of a boutique property that lives up to the description "serene." The breakfasts are very satisfactory, and bar service "just fine.". I don't think the hotel is emphasizing its restaurant yet. On the other hand there are many wonderful Thai and international restaurants within short walking distances from the hotel. And, walk you should, whether early morning, daytime or evening because you are in the midst of what was Chiang Mai in the 15th Century. The Bodhi Serene rooms are first class; the bathrooms large, well designed and show a craftsmanship of installation. In my judgement, Bodhi Serene is a price performance bargain.
