| Guest comments | I travel to China often and have stayed here a number of times. It's a reasonably good hotel which is dificult to fault except they seem to have become extremely expensive for extras such as food and bar items if they are not included in the initial room rate. eg: 3 beers and a coke cost nearly AU$60 which is a bit rich and will certainly make me rethink accomodation for my next visit to Shanghai. |

| Guest comments | The view from our river facing room was fantastic. Enjoyed the view during the day and at night. However, when we wished to stay longer in our room, we had to get on the net and book that way to get the good price that we had. We feel strongly that had the hotel agreed to this arrangement, we would have stayed longer. However, when we went on the net, we found a cheaper hotel in the same area, and moved.
A great hotel, great view, but in the end, the price mattered. |

| Guest comments | The lobby smelled like sewage. Hope they cleared that up. And worse, when I arrived, they had no record of my online booking. So I had to lay down big bucks to secure my room because they didn't know about my online reservation. Things were cleared up the next day. But I was short shopping money because of it. |

| Guest comments | Very good hotel facilities. Hotel under repair on the moment of the stay which made it noisy and dusty, though. The restaurants were also not available. Excellent location near the Bund. English speaking staff but very confusing. Expensive lobby bar. |
