| Guest comments | Air con did not work in the room despite speaking to staff. Atitude of maintenence man was "you won't need it later.
With renovations going on still, the rooms are very dark and very stuffy. |

| Guest comments | Our original room although budget was in amongst building scaffolding and completely not suitable. We paid the difference to upgrade to another room and floor which was better but had no hot water for two nights and problems with the shower head which took 24 hours to fix. We had problems with the night manager in being rude and not understanding of the guests requests. He did try to apologise, but this was not felt to be genuine. Fortunately, other staff members and day time manager were very helpful and embarrassed by his behaviour. |

| Guest comments | I chose this hotel mainly on location - it is very close to the Southern Cross Railway Station where the SkyBus leaves for the airport and I had a very early flight to catch! The staff were unfailingly polite and helpful. The room was uninspiring but I wasn't in Melbourne to look at my room so that didn't bother me; and I found the somewhat winding corridors quaint. It was very noisy - from street noise - and a little attention to double glazing might be a good idea if they continue with their current building renovations. Lastly - the shower heads ARE located too high on the wall... and when I got in after a long day, late at night, no hot water available in the very difficult to use, water saving shower - but quite good bath temperature! |

| Guest comments | The hotel position is good for me to where I have to go for trade fairs. The furniture in the room and around the hotel, is a bit tired, but clean. The courtyard rooms are currently under renovation, which will be good when they are finished. |

| Guest comments | Great location - just across the road from Southern Cross Station. Staff very friendly. Building works meant that the courtyard was dark but there was no noise. Great wee hotel! |

| Guest comments | Location was good, and room came with a cooked breakfast. The room still had rubbish in and some of the drinks were out of date. Room very dated and run down and looked dirty although the sheets were clean and bathroom tidy. No extras like hair dryer or phone book. No folder on what the hotel offers or how to use the Television. Very disappointed as the internet picutres made the rooms look quite comfortable. |

| Guest comments | Need to reconsider their arrangement with restaurant who cater for breakfast. Service is shocking, food is ordinary, restaurant is dirty and dusty, bathroom facilities are out of the last century, no lighting, not clean and hardly accessible. It is unorganised mess and the staff are not even worth writing about. Conversation with fellow guests each morning related to the lack of service and the lack of manners on the part of several staff members. Should we stay again we will not include breakfast in our package. |
