Guest commentsI enjoyed my stay here. The room was very small, but I was prepared for that. It was quiet and clean. The bathroom was very compact, and it would have been very small with two people in the room. But it was well priced, modern, and had a fabulous large flat screen television. There was no hotel restaurant, and the coffee shop a couple of doors down (which was very good) gave hotel guests a 20% discount on presentation of the room key

Guest commentsMy room was very comfortable and had everything I needed in it. The staff were very nice and helpful. Easy walking distance to the venue we had to attend, which was Telstra Dome. I would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Guest commentsBathroom was extremely small with the tiny hand basin positioned in such a way as to make it difficult when brushing one's teeth. The hand basin tap had also come adrift & was in need of repair.

Guest commentsAccess to city excellent. Rooms very clean and no outside noises. Only criticism is that there are not any chairs in the room that i had. There is a backless "stool" type seat but not comfortanle for viewing TV, and no provision for second occupant to sit comfortably. I mentioned this to reception when checking out, but receieved indifferent response. Expense of providing a seat would be minimal, especially as there is a wide screen TV, which would have been much more expemsive to provide !

Guest commentsThe service from the staff at the front desk was outstanding. They help in every way that was asked couldn't say enough good about them. The room was so small you couldn't swing a cat around you didn't even have enough room to sit to have a drink you had to sit on the bed, just a tad to small. The name said it all petite rooms.

Guest commentsSmall rooms (the petite double) but cozy and just what we wanted after a night out in the city.

Guest commentsThis is a really great place to stay in Melbourne - particularly if you want to do some shopping at the DFO at Spencer Street! The petite rooms are a bargain and they are really comfortable and clean. If you don't like small rooms, then maybe the petite rooms aren't for you. However, the rooms are well designed for the small space. The flat panel TVs which swivel and have cable are another bonus. The staff are friendly and helpful. The Pensione Hotel is one of the best bargains you'll find in Melbourne.

Guest commentsGreat convenient location. Close walk or tram to everything. Only issue for us was the shower. There is no screen and water just splashes out over floor and vanity. Service was fantastic. Very helpful staff and very friendly to deal with. Definately stay again.
