| Guest comments | I stayed in this hotel twice in August 08. The hotel is a bit out of the way, but only 10 minutes walk to nearest subway, and a 10 minute ride to the centre, never any hassle from locals walking in area, even in the early hours. Basic rooms, but clean, helpful staff, if you are looking for a cheap place to stay then I would recommend this hotel |

| Guest comments | Located in an older part of Singapore. Ladies of the night operated from outside the hotel opposite but we had no problem from them or anyone else when entering or leaving Emerald. The room was small and basic but clean and comfortable. MRT 10 to 15 min walk away which then gives you easy access to rest of city and airport. Very reasonably priced hotel that was perfectly adequete for our two night stopover. |

| Guest comments | Red Light District Location - very lively, great street hawker restaurants all around. Rooms are very tiny. But for the money in Singapore - it is clean and convenient to the MRT. |

| Guest comments | rooms are small but clean. bathroom door is not that ok though but otherwise, they have hot and cold water which is working great. location is near the red light district and somewhat far from the points of interest and the city center. staff is ok not too friendly but not grouchy as well. |
