| Guest comments | The hotel itself was absolutely stunning. The service was fantastic and the room very nice, but there was no complimentry champagne or chocolate on the pillow, plenty in the fridge and any additional items in the bathroom eg. the mini sized plastic shaver etc. was an additional cost. The staff left a small bottle of Mt Franklin water on our bedside tables in the evening, but that cost $7.50. We just expected a little more for $400 a night. We will stay there again next year, but for what we expected we would have to upgrade to a $700 a night room overlooking the Yarra and a suite. |

| Guest comments | Staff extremely helpful. Room service of a high standard and the bed was extremely comfortable. Bathroom and shower were a wee bit small and the lighting in the bathroom was quite dim. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay with nice views over the Yarra and Fed Square. |

| Guest comments | WOW 7 star service at a 5 star hotel. These people obviously loved their jobs. The service was exceptional. The staff were extremely courteous and always greeted you as if you were a VIP. Their memories were terrific (mentioned it was birthday the next day and they remembered when we went there 24 hours later). Nothing was too much to ask of them even to serenading me at dinner with happy birthday when my daughter requested this from interstate! Rooms were clean and comfortable and the hotel was one of the top three we have stayed in and we have stayed in many around the world. Location was great. Right in the heart of many restaurants but who would want to eat elsewhere when you have the fabulous Melba restaurant in house? Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet with many dishes made to your own taste. The Club Room would have sufficed for a main course! We will definitely be staying here again. I would recommend this to any couple wanting a relaxed convenient stay in Melbourne. |
