Stayed at Imperial Tara Mae Hong Son Hotel - Mae Hong Son, Thailand.

The hotel offers a good 'take-off location' to visit the 'Long-Neck' women tribe up river. The visit near the Burma burder is very unique and adventuresome. My advice is to minimize the other 'ho-hum' local tours in town. Although there are several good views of the countryside.
