Stayed at  Wesley, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Lan kwai fan isn't as busy as it used to be.

T Tsang 21 May 2002
Stayed at  Kowloon Hotel, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Felix lounge bar is well worth it. Must see. Peninsula for afternoon tea is highly recommended for nostaglia.

H Thienpondt 15 May 2002
Stayed at  Bishop Lei International - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
I lived 6 years in HK so I like (almost) everything about the place. Especially the bars and restaurants around Soho.

S Prakalapakorn 12 May 2002
Stayed at  Kowloon Hotel, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
there's limited cultural venues in hong kong aside from very high end and very low end shopping, people watching, and clubbing/karaoke for those staying for short visits. excellent cuisine can be found everywhere from western to eastern styles. victoria peak and a ferry ride is a must do. walking tours around central (finance district) and causeway bay are worthwhile.

J Klepp 09 May 2002
Stayed at  Ibis North Point - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Went to the Peak, which of course is a must. For shopping, do go to Pacific Place. They also have the better movie theatres. Repulse Bay is good, although the sand is not that great - but the size makes it possible for you to find a spot. Do take the Ferry to Kowloon and walk along the ocean - bring a tri-pod for your camera to take night pictures! Otherwise, enjoy the restaurants - the selection is great, and I was rarely disappointed.

E Leung 08 May 2002
Stayed at  Emperor, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
It is not a bad hotel if travellers want to explore the interesting places in Happy Valley. There are many small but excellent restaurants in Happy Valley (frequently visited by Hong Kong movie stars). There is also a very big horse racing track in Happy Valley. Trams are the major means of transportation.

L Salmon aidan 06 May 2002
Stayed at  Marco Polo Hong Kong Hotel - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Summer is the wrong time to visit Hong Kong, although I have done it before. The hot weather will make shopping especially tenuous and I don't think anybody would want to spend time in the City of Life cooped up in an air-con room lazing. Otherwise, the transportation system and service industry of this city are world-class and efficient. Add that to the phenomenal shopping and the exciting nightlife, Hong Kong is a great place to spend a weekend.

S Jennings 03 May 2002
Stayed at  Wharney Guang Dong Hotel Hong Kong, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Dellanys irish pub was about two minute walk, if you liked the bar scein that was also close. There where many nice resturants within a five minute walk.

D Johnson 02 May 2002
Stayed at  Bishop Lei International - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Bishop Lei is a short walk from great restaurants, pubs, parks, and shopping in the Central and Mid-Level areas of Hong Kong. Easy access to the MTR and Victoria Peak Tram. Outstanding nightlife available in Lan Kwai Fong, less than 10 minute walk from the hotel

G Webb 02 May 2002
Stayed at  Wharney Guang Dong Hotel Hong Kong, The - Hong Kong, Hong Kong.
Nightspots nearby include Delaneys, a pub with excellent food and Coyote Bar and Grill, a haven for margarits lovers.
