The disco in front of the hotel had a live band that was ok, and it's air conditioned. But it's not a "dance" disco, just listening to music. There are a few restaurants in the hotel, the best being the one on the beach in the evening. Great guitar singer there.

Beautiful island. Food is terrific. Enjoy the sun, sand, water. French Crepes are wonderful, the seafood fresh. The parties at night are spirited and fun.

White Beach is obviously the place to stay on Boracay; the shady walkway behind the beach is a real plus.
We got far better exchange rates in Manila than on the island (7.20 to the HK$ vs 6).
Banza is one of the very few good restaurants, however everywhere does great fresh juice and shakes.
Mandala Spa is superb -- spent four very happy hours there.
The round island boat trip was a joke; promised free soft drinks did not appear for some time, lunch was burnt, crew dropped litter, and the waves were too rough (they said) to complete the circuit. We got off half way through.
Nightlife -- Charlh's, Bom Bom, Summer Place -- was very laid back rather than the testosterone/decibel cocktail of some other Asian resorts.
Overall, this is a lovely place to chill out. White Beach has been ranked one of the best in the world; but one gets the impression that a lot of resorts etc are resting on their laurels.

Boracay is great for relaxing--sun, walks on the beach, romantic sunsets, good variety on food, inexpensive drinks, snorkeling, diving, boat rides, but there is very little else, so don't go expecting movies and other "cultural" options.

Kids loved the banana boat ride. hire a motorised boat or sailing boat with crew as guides and snorkelling gear for 3 hr or full day to visit coral reefs, we also bought an underwater camers to record the tropical fish eating bread from the kids hands. All water sports are avial incl jetski, water ski. You can hire motor bikes or mountain bikes to view the whole island. The beach is amazing with only one drawback, there is a stretch of green algae close to the shore but past that stand and watch the zebra fish swim around your feet.

This is the place to go to if you love the beach. You can laze around and do nothing or do any number of water sports, play golf, explore the island on scooters/motor bikes. We got around the island catching the local transport which was a lot of fun.

Beautiful island, the sand is as white and as fine as they claim. Stay at Friday's end of the beach if you want to be quiet, or stay right in Central Boracay for more activity and social life.
Massages on the beach and cocktails at your favourite beach front bar whilst admiring the sunset are a must!
True Food Indian restaurant and Nigi Noo's bar should be tried, the market is fun for shoppers.

Nigi Nigi is located at a more lively area of White Beach, with a lot of restaurants and bars near by, however still quiet at night.
If you want it more quiet Niigi Nigi 2, Nigi Nigi's new resort in the northern part of White Beach can be recommended. However, the beach in this area is often used for events, concerts etc. And during this events it can be noisy there, day and night. So better check before you book.

A beautiful tropical island with great beaches. Good golf only 10 minutes away, a very serene and relaxing spa - Mandala Spa - 20 minutes away, and some great restaurants eg Caribo (Carribean food - superb), Manana (Mexican), Banza (Portuguese), and Cafe Sun Thai.
The Philipinos love children and are great babysitters when you want some time to yourself.
