Stayed at Grand Continental Kuching - Kuching, Malaysia.

Kuching is a very laid back and pretty place, although visiting in the rainy season (roughly Nov - Feb) is perhaps not such a great idea. Not so many tourists around so not all of the tours are running and you have to expect to get a lot of drenchings!
Bako and Gunung Gading National Parks are both well worth visiting, and I heard good things about the longhouse trips. Go for at least 2 days though because it is a long road trip to get there, so the daytrips would be very tiring.

Part of reason for holiday was the 'World Music Festival' which was very close. Therefore didn't see much else. Festival was great.
