We were in Macau for the Macau Marathon so did not have as much time as we would have liked. Next time though! We were able to walk to the GrandPrix/Wine Museum, Monte Fort, the Ruins of St. Paul's, Largo do Senado, the Museum of Macau (excellent - well-designed and informative) and follow a walking tour down to the Maritime Museum. The Hotel Lisboa was also a great spot to visit and soak up the culture of Macau.
Several of our meals were eaten in small local restaurants - all were good, inexpensive and the staff very friendly and polite.
Macau is a spot I would really enjoy returning to. The mixture of Chinese and Portuguese architecture, the cuisine and its past history, gives Macau a special flare and feel.

Very nice city, worth of seeing. Hopefully the weather will be better, since for us it was raining most of the time.
IŽd like to propose all to visit Pizaria Toscana, one of the best restaurants I have ever been.

Enjoyed the new art gallery in the Cultural Centre and the excellent Maritime Museum. Good Portuguese food at the old standby A'Lorcha (opposite the Maritime Museum). Macau is so small it doesn't make sense to take any other form of transport other than taxis unless on a really tight budget. Taxi drivers friendly and helpful although Cantonese is necessary to communicate with them.

We thoroughly enjoyed the Chinese restaurant in the hotel. It was terrific, both quality of and service. Absolute recommended. Shuttle was practical but not entirely in arriving because the arrival and disembarking of ferry was every time 5 minutes after leaving of shuttle so had to wait 20 minutes or take a cab, which we did.

Restaurants and bars close relatively early. Quality of food in buffet is good given the low price.

Macua was very interesting, particlularly the old architecture around the museum in the fort and old church but felt a little unsafe around the temple (Maritime Museum area) by the hotel at night. We decided it would be safer to eat at the hotel after walking around for a while (the food in the hotel was excellent and good value for money).

Basically Macau is a slow paced kind of country. If you are in for Chinese food, I would say its value for money. The portion is pretty big and it costs very little. The food also tastes great. The staffs are most helpful to recommend the restaurant's speciality.
Getting around is very simple as the bus within Macau is flat fee for any amount of stops it travels. Therefore one can easily hop onto a bus and get around Macau. It is very easy to get around on your own.

The dim sum restaurant in the hotel is very good. Try getting $25 discount vouchers from the front desk.
