Staff recommended the nearby Hollywood Restaurant. Awesome value, but go hungry as the meals are HUGE! Macau is a great place to just stroll around and enjoy yourself; more low key than Hong Kong. Do go over to Coloane Island to Hac Sa Bay.

We really enjoyed Macau. It was a quiet welcome from HongKong. We especially enjoyed the European architecture and Portuguese food.

Go to Fernando's and Henri's! Great food.
Visit all of the sites on each island--especially on the island of Macau. We bought beautiful and affordable antique furniture in Macau.

I would highly recommend the Macau Arts Festival in October every year - the programme is usually good by international standards, and worth a stay behind for at least one or two evenings, accompanied with good food which seems almost everywhere in Macau.

Restuarants- Fernandos, Ngai Tims in Coloane and O'Manuel in Taipa are all good in their own ways. The hills behind the hotel are excellent for walking/running in.

A good place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Hong Kong. Less people and much more relaxed. If you like Portugese food try the Restaurant A'Lorcha but it is wise to reserve a table as it gets very full.

Macau is quickly loosing its charm but dumping its good chinese "folks culture" like street hawkers, open air macanese barbucue to give way to souless mimickry of westernized "stock architectures".
